Does the machine give an accurate 'diagnosis'?
The Asyra is not a diagnostic device. The conceopt of diagnosis is rooted in the idea of grouping people with similar symptoms and offering similar (usually surpressive) treatment. The Asyra is based on the principles of Functional Medicine which emphasises the need to look at the whole picture of an individual's health and finding out what that person needs to help restore the functioning of self-healing mechanisms. The differences in the detail between people are of as much interest as the similarities.
Why don't I get the same results if I am retested later?
The body is constantly changing its energetic balance, and taking a reading affects that balance, as does giving mental attention to the results. However, results obtained by scanning a client over time will show a pattern o linkage that will become evident to the therapist. For example, a chronic weakness in the lung area will show lungs as weak in the baseline on one occasion, or show up vertebral or dental stresses that link to the lungs on other occasions or the body will indicate requirement for a homeopathic remedy that help respiratory complaints at other times. Through experience the therapist comes to gain an understanding of the patterns and interlinkages between different parts of the physical body, biochemical processes and mental and emotional states. Expectation of seeing exactlay the same results is rooted in our familiarity with Western medicine which emphasises the importance of localised pathology in understandin health and disease. A holistic perspective recognises that the organism is a dynamic system, responding to millions of stiumuli every day and never showing exactly the same pattern twice.
What does the Asyra measure?
The Asyra measures capacitative reactance, hich means the changes in electrical resistance across the skin barrier, in response to signal outputs from the system. Individual signals, corresponding to microbes, nutrients, toxins or other entities are output in quick succession from the Asyra. If the flow of electrical current drops or rises in response to a given signal, a kind of 'resonance' is occurring and this sgnifies that the entitiy 'looked for' by the specific frequency is affecting the body. The signal output from the system also allows the body's meridian network to be read as an interconnected entity from one point, allowing the energetic baseline readings to be taken without measuring individual points.
Foods that I have never eaten/ate yesterday show up on the list. Why is this?
This is a common occurrence in food testing. In many cases the body is indicating that it has 'had its fill' of that food, or that it is something that we have a historical reaction to. Such reactions can beconme imprinted into the body-mind on a psychological level. When a food you have not eaten before shows up the body is merely responding to the signal output and saying that it would not react positively to that food, if it was introduced at that point to the diet.
Should I avoid all foods that show up in the food intolerance test?
No, not at all. Although all the foods on the list will be stressing your system at that time many of the foods will only be slightly off the stress margins. If gluten, wheat, yeast or dairy appear in the top 15 of the list you might consider elimanating these foods for 2 or 3 months depending on the severity of the symptoms. Look at families of foods that appear. For instance if 2 or 3 of the nightshade family are in the list and you have symptoms of or a family history of arthritis, then you might consider avoiding all of the nightshades - even one that may not be on the list. The same goes for dairy and yeast products.
How should red and yellow be interpreted in the baseline and filters?
In general, red implies an iflammatory response corresponding to a stress that the body is working to fix, while yellow suggests a weakened response that is more likely to need some kind of external attention to re-energise. E.g in food intolerances yellow foods are more likely need to be avoided as the body is already compensating for the challenge created by red foods.
Why did my violent allergy to cat hair not show up on the system?
The AT3 is designed to pick up intolerances not allergies. The difference between the two is well documented and in all fields of medicine allergies and intolerances will be tested for sepearately. Allergies may have many causes, including emotional. There have been some interesting case studies of some people who have multiple personality disorders who are violently allergic (manifesting extreme physical symptoms) as one personality and then switching to a different personality and all symptoms vainishing in seconds.
Why do apparently innocuous foods show up in the foods test?
Because, for whatever reason, those are the foods that the body is indicating a poor response to at that moment. The reading may be only just outside of the testing range but it will still show up. We are all different and many foods will react lke a medicine to some and a poison to others. Some foods show up becuase they have been eaten in quantity recently. The AT3 is very sensitive and for some people eating certain food more that say once a week can stress the body and this will show up in the test.
